Helping nonprofit leaders raise the funding they need

With a simple method to find the people, relationships and funding for the work that matters.

The Promise

You didn’t step into nonprofit leadership to spend your time wondering how you’re going to fund the work.

You did it because there’s something you want to change.

But somewhere between the strategy, the ambitious plans and the impact you know is possible, fundraising became the thing standing in the way.

You’ve got the project. You know why it matters. You know what could be possible with the right investment.

You just don’t know how you’re going to raise the money.

So you apply for another grant. Chase another small funding opportunity. Put out an ad for a fundraiser. Tell the board you’re working on it, while quietly wondering how this will happen.

Having an ambitious vision is one part of leadership. Knowing how you’re going to fund it is another.

Raise Room is where you can stop hoping the funding will appear and pursue a credible strategy for securing it.

A woman sitting at a table with a pastry, glass of water, notebook, and pen, smiling and looking to her right, wearing a white blouse, gold watch, and a gold necklace. Another person, wearing a light pink blazer, sits beside her with their arm resting on the table.

Raise Room is built around the Philanthropic Fundraising Method™, a practical approach to raising significant philanthropic funding.

The method brings together the three things that need to work in combination: a compelling opportunity worth funding, access to the right funders and a clear approach to building relationships and securing gifts.

When all three are in place, you have the foundations for raising significant funding.

Serious funding doesn’t happen for others by accident. Neither will yours.

Fundraising reaches a point where it isn’t about getting lucky with a grant, bumping into a wealthy person on the street or hoping the right chance comes along. There’s a method to it.

I’ve spent more than 15 years helping nonprofit organisations secure philanthropic funding, from building fundraising programs generating tens of millions of dollars annually to securing eight-figure gifts and contributing to major campaigns that raised up to $100 million.

What I’ve learned is that raising more funding isn’t about doing more types of fundraising.

It’s about getting the right things in place, in the right order.

That’s what The Transformational Funding Method is designed to do, built around three essential pillars for significant philanthropy:

The Compelling Opportunity, The Funder Access and The Philanthropy Playbook.

THE PROCESS

THE PROGRAM

This is where I help you put the whole thing into practice.

Not a strategy telling you what to do, but not how to do it alone. Not a self-paced course you never finish. Not another document sitting in a folder.

Raise Room gives you The Transformational Funding Method, a roadmap built around your organisation, and access to expert support while you actually do the work.

For 12 months, you’ll learn the method, implement your roadmap and bring your real fundraising challenges into the room as they happen.

You’ll have a live group coaching session every week, a weekly masterclass, practical templates and resources, ongoing access to expert support when you have questions, and a private community of nonprofit leaders doing the work alongside you.

Got a meeting with a potential funder? Bring it in.

Need to work out who should make the ask? Bring it in.

Not sure whether your project is ready to take to donors? Bring it in.

This isn’t about learning fundraising and hoping you can apply it later. It’s about building the capability while you’re actively working towards your funding goal.

About Courtney

COURTNEY HENRY

I was drawn to fundraising because I wanted to lead nonprofit organisations one day, and I knew that being able to fund an organisation’s vision and mission would be an important part of leading it well.

Over the past 15+ years, I’ve helped nonprofit organisations in Australia and internationally secure more than $80 million in philanthropic funding, including eight-figure gifts.

I’ve built fundraising programs generating tens of millions of dollars annually, contributed to major capital campaigns that raised up to $100 million, and worked alongside CEOs, boards and leadership teams to build the capability required to secure significant philanthropy.

Along the way, I realised just how rare this skillset is, and how difficult it can be for smaller nonprofits to access it.

So I created Raise Room to change that.

Because I believe nonprofit leaders shouldn’t have to shrink from their organisation’s vision simply because they don’t know how to fund it to its potential.

Work out what you want to make happen. Then work out how you’re going to fund it.

That’s what Raise Room is here to help you do.
